Depression & Bipolar Disorder Therapy in Toronto


Living with depression or bipolar disorder can affect many areas of life, including mood, motivation, relationships, and daily functioning. People may experience periods of deep sadness, loss of energy, difficulty concentrating, or shifts in mood that feel difficult to manage.

As a Toronto-based therapist, I work with adults experiencing depression, bipolar disorder, and other mood-related challenges. Therapy can provide a supportive space to better understand mood patterns, develop practical coping strategies, and build greater emotional stability.


Therapy for Depression


Depression can make even small tasks feel overwhelming. Many people experience persistent sadness, low motivation, fatigue, or a sense of disconnection from activities and relationships that once felt meaningful.

In therapy, we work to understand the factors contributing to depression while developing strategies that support emotional resilience, self-compassion, and renewed engagement with life.


Support for Bipolar Disorder


Living with bipolar disorder often involves navigating periods of depression as well as shifts in mood and energy. Therapy can help individuals better understand mood patterns, manage stress, and develop strategies that support stability and well-being.

For many people with bipolar disorder, therapy works alongside medical care and can provide practical tools for managing emotions, relationships, and daily routines.


My Approach


My approach integrates evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, and Trauma Informed Therapies. These approaches can help clients:


  • understand patterns in thoughts, emotions, and behaviour
     
  • develop healthier coping strategies
     
  • improve emotional regulation
     
  • strengthen resilience during difficult periods
     

Therapy provides a space to explore these experiences with compassion while working toward greater balance and stability.
