These thoughts can feel terrifying, shameful, or completely out of character. Many people wonder if they’re “going crazy” or fear they’re secretly dangerous — but these fears are part of how OCD works. You are not your thoughts, and OCD is highly treatable.
I offer Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy — the gold-standard treatment for OCD. ERP helps you gradually face fears while resisting the urge to perform rituals or avoidance behaviours. Over time, this retrains your brain to respond with less fear.
I also integrate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to support you in responding more flexibly to your thoughts and reducing the hold OCD has on your life.
